Second YS Meeting
The second Young Scientist Meeting took place from 26th to 28th September 2016 at the Goethe-University in Frankfurt (GUF). The meeting included 1.5 days of scientific topics and a 1 day slide-writing workshop. Ulrich Achatz (GUF) presented an overview over the main principles of gravity wave – mean flow interaction and different young scientists presented and discussed the newest results of their current research among each other. Furthermore, Bodo Ahrens (GUF) led a very productive gender/career discussion and gave useful advice on persuing a scientific career. A visit of the GUF laboratories and the German Weather Service (DWD) rounded off the program.
